This session introduces and reviews the book "Orientalism and Orientalism-inclination" by Karamatollah Rasekh. With a political sociology approach, the book analyzes the concepts of Orientalism and Orientalism-inclination and their relationship with Iran’s contemporary intellectual and political transformations.
In this program, Karamatollah Rasekh, the author of the book, and Rahim Mohammadi will discuss the main themes of the work, its position in contemporary social thought, and questions related to the role of social forces in shaping political discourses.
The session provides an opportunity for those interested in sociology, political science, contemporary Iranian intellectual history, and cultural studies to engage directly with the author’s perspectives and participate in a discussion of the book.
