Terms of Service

The terms for using Sedanet and for buying its courses. Please note section 4: all sales are final.

Last updated: 15 August 2026

Sedanet (صدانت) is an independent Persian-language platform for thought. It publishes a free library of essays, lectures and videos, and sells online courses. These terms are an agreement between you and Sedanet, the operator of 3danet.net. By using the site or buying a course you accept them. They are published in English, which is the language that governs them.

1. Your account

Signing in does not use a password: you receive a one-time code, or you sign in with a provider you already use. Keep access to your email address and phone secure, because whoever holds them can reach your account. An account is personal; please do not share or sell it. You must be at least 13 years old. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

2. Courses

An enrollment is a personal, non-transferable licence to watch or listen to that course on Sedanet for as long as we operate the service. Courses are taught in Persian, with Persian notes and subtitles; there is no English or Arabic audio or subtitles. The first session of every course is a free preview and the full syllabus is published, so you can see what a course is before paying. Lessons are streamed: downloading, recording, copying, redistributing or reselling any part of a course is not permitted, and the material remains ours or the instructor's. We may improve a course after you buy it, at no extra cost.

3. Prices and payment

The price and currency shown on the course page at the moment you pay is the price that binds your order; prices may change at other times. Payments are handled by third-party payment providers, on their own pages, and we never receive or store your card details. Your enrollment opens once the payment is confirmed. Any tax, conversion or bank fee added by your own bank or country is yours to pay.

4. All sales are final

We do not offer refunds, exchanges or cancellations on courses, gift purchases or donations. A course is delivered digitally and in full the moment you pay, and you can preview it for free before you decide. The narrow situations in which we do return money are set out in the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. There are no subscriptions on Sedanet: every purchase is a single payment, so nothing renews and nothing is charged again. Nothing here limits a right that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.

5. Gifts and donations

You can buy a course for someone else; we send an activation code to the address you give us, and it can be redeemed once. A donation is a gift that supports the free library: nothing is delivered in return. Both are final in the same way as any other purchase.

6. Certificates

Finishing a course issues a certificate of completion in your name, with a serial number anyone can check on our verification page. It records that you completed a Sedanet course. It is not an academic degree, it is not accredited, and it does not entitle you to credit anywhere. We may revoke a certificate if the enrollment behind it was reversed or obtained fraudulently.

7. What you post

Comments, reviews, notes and your profile remain yours; by posting them you allow us to display them on Sedanet and to remove them. Please do not post insults, threats, defamation, other people's private information, advertising, work that belongs to someone else, or anything unlawful. Contributions are moderated and may be removed without notice.

8. Using the site

Please do not try to get around the protection on course streams or on any part of the site that requires an account, collect content or member data in bulk, create accounts automatically, or interfere with the operation of the service or the security of other users.

9. Availability

We work to keep Sedanet available but cannot promise uninterrupted service, and we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it.

10. Disclaimer and liability

Sedanet publishes educational and cultural material that reflects the views of its authors and instructors. Nothing here is professional advice. To the fullest extent the law allows, the site and its content are provided as they are, and our total liability to you for anything connected with a course is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Privacy

How we handle personal information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

12. Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do, and the version in force when you bought a course governs that purchase. These terms are governed by the law of the place where Sedanet is established, without prejudice to any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of your own country. Questions about these terms, an order or your account: [email protected].
