“Distrust of Medical Science and the Spread of Pseudoscience: A Look at Its Causes and Psychological Roots” is part of the Pseudoscience Critique series organized by the Social and Parliamentary Affairs Department of the Iranian Medical Council.
In this session, Dr. Azarakhsh Mokri, a faculty member at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, will examine distrust of medical science and the psychological factors that contribute to the formation and spread of pseudoscientific beliefs. The subject is particularly significant at a time when medical information reaches the public through numerous channels with widely varying degrees of reliability.
The event may be of interest to physicians and other healthcare professionals, researchers and students, as well as those interested in psychology, science, and pseudoscience. The session will be held in person at the Iranian Medical Council Auditorium, while those unable to attend can watch it online through the “Hami” page. Due to limited seating capacity, advance registration is required for in-person attendance.
