The sixty-seventh session of the "Bukhara Tuesday Evenings" series is dedicated to a review and critique of the book *Olives and Figs* (Twelve Social Essays) by Thomas Mann, translated by Mahmoud Haddadi. Published by Farhang-e Siyadat Publishing, this book is a collection of social and cultural writings by the renowned German author, reflecting his intellectual concerns about culture, identity, society, and modern humanity.

In this session, Mahmoud Haddadi, the translator of the work, along with Mohammad Ragheb and Ali Dehbashi, will discuss Thomas Mann's place in European literature and thought, the characteristics of this essay collection, and the importance of translating his works into Persian.

Thomas Mann, winner of the 1929 Nobel Prize in Literature, is one of the most important German writers of the twentieth century, whose works are known for their symbolism, subtle irony, and exploration of the psychology of artists and intellectuals. Attending this session offers enthusiasts of literature, European cultural history, translation, and social thought an opportunity for a deeper acquaintance with the intellectual world of this author and the distinguished translator of German works.
