The seventeenth session of the 'Sunday Evenings of Bukhara' program series is dedicated to the review and critique of the book 'Lamentation of War', a collection of stories by Babak Zamani. Published by Sahami Aam Publications, this book is a collection of short stories and one novella written over several decades, narrating the experience of war and its human consequences.
In this session, Babak Zamani, the author of the book, along with Mohsen Amiryousefi, Ahmad Gholami, and Ali Dehbashi, will discuss this work and its place in contemporary literature. Babak Zamani, a neurologist and retired professor from the University of Medical Sciences, has, alongside his medical career, spent years writing and publishing social and cultural notes.
This program provides an opportunity for enthusiasts of fiction, war studies, culture, and thought to become acquainted with the various dimensions of the book 'Lamentation of War' and the author's perspective on narrating war and memory.
