Death has always been a source of dread and enigma; though religions frame it as a bridge to the afterlife, the question remains. A lecture series by Soroush Dabbagh, titled *Death-Thinking and Death-Awareness*, explores this concept over several sessions.

From the moment humanity was created, the issue that became a persistent thorn in its mind was this: how can one become immortal? And death was the end for them, therefore contemplating death was both terrifying and an enigma. An enigma because, in various religions, they were taught or told that death is not the end, but rather a beginning for an eternal life, and death is like a bridge over which a person passes from the material world to the afterlife. Yet death remained, and remains, an enigma for humanity, and for this reason, they pondered greatly upon death and offered many views on it. How many artistic and written works have been created on this important subject? Yet death is still an important and terrifying matter for humanity. Therefore, with this introduction, a dialogue on contemplating death has been arranged with Dr. Soroush Dabbagh by the study circle of the Ghadir Charity Society, so that in several sessions, he can, to some extent, elucidate and clarify this important concept of life.
