The meeting "The Legacy of Taleghani and Today's World" is held on the anniversary of the passing of Ayatollah Seyyed Mahmoud Taleghani; a meeting to revisit the intellectual and social legacy of Taleghani and to reflect on the relationship between his thought and experience and the questions and issues of the contemporary world.
In this program, Seyyed Hashem Aghajari, Hadi Khaniki, and Mohammad-Taqi Fazel Meybodi will deliver speeches, and Mehrshad Kazemi will serve as the session's secretary. Additionally, clips from Ayatollah Taleghani's speeches will be screened during the meeting.
This meeting is suitable for those interested in the contemporary history of Iran, political and social thought, religious intellectualism, and the examination of Ayatollah Taleghani's intellectual legacy, and it provides an opportunity to examine the position and contemporary possibilities of Taleghani's thought from the perspective of several researchers and experts.
This program will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 5:00 PM, in the Hekmat Hall of the National Library and Archives of Iran in Tehran. The organizer of the program is the History Group of the House of Humanities Thinkers, in collaboration with the Ayatollah Taleghani Cultural Complex.
