Malekian considers rationality to be argument-based and religiosity to be a matter of submission, and he deems the two incompatible. The author finds this view unjustified, arguing that religious propositions can be accepted on reasoned grounds, since accepting the word of a philosopher is not unlike accepting the word of a prophet.
