At a session reviewing the book Social Justice, Development and Freedom in Iran Today, Farshad Momeni described justice as the key to the system's legitimacy. Critiquing the rentier economy and the elimination of rivals, he argued that the main bottleneck for development is not a lack of resources but the marginalisation of thought.
