The book "Religion and the Questions of Modernity" (Dīn va Porsesh-hā-ye Now) comprises a collection of four conversations with four contemporary thinkers (including Mostafa Malekian) on the new needs and questions arising from religion. The interviewees are all leading professors in the fields of theology, philosophy, and Islamic discourse, who offer extensive responses to al-Rifa‘i’s questions. The text of each of these interviews had previously been published in the journal "Contemporary Islamic Issues"; however, with the devastating storm of thought and action unleashed by "ISIS," the spark to collect and publish this collection in a single volume was ignited. Al-Rifa‘i and the interviewees’ admirable effort to burnish the rust from the mirror of history is evident throughout this entire book.
