Fardin Alikhah, born in 1971 in Isfahan, is a sociologist and faculty member of the Department of Social Sciences at the University of Guilan. His research interests include the sociology of culture, media, and everyday life.
Fardin Alikhah, born in 1971 in Isfahan, is a sociologist, researcher, and faculty member of the Department of Social Sciences at the University of Guilan. His family is originally from Gilan, and he was raised in Rasht from childhood. Alikhah received his BA in Sociology from the University of Tabriz, his MA in Sociology, and his PhD in Political Sociology from Allameh Tabataba'i University. His doctoral dissertation was titled "The Potential for Political Protest in the City of Tehran." In more recent University of Guilan sources, he is listed with the academic rank of Associate Professor.
His main areas of activity are the sociology of culture, sociology of media, urban sociology, everyday life, consumerism, lifestyle, youth, public spaces, celebrity culture, digital media, and cultural changes in contemporary Iran. He is also active in the fields of social impact assessment of projects and public sociology.
