Man in Search of Himself: The Protagonistic King-Man, a Mesopotamian Conception

Man has always sought a way to determine the reason for his existence on this earthly sphere; for this very reason, he has striven greatly and, in response to this fundamental question, has established systems of reason. But have these dichotomous reasonings opened a path for him? Have they untied a knot of the enigma of his riddle? Truly, what place does this two-legged being have at the feast of existence? Does his being carry any meaning? In Mesopotamia, a path was laid before man: a path that begins with him and ends with him!

The present session is the concluding talk of a series of lectures held on the aforementioned subject from the Mesopotamian perspective. The main theme was how the "concrete aspect" and the "path" to finding it exist not in philosophy but in another system of dichotomous reason. How can we find our own selves? Did they even consider such a thing possible? Did they not regard man as subjugated by something called "fate" and consider him seated in the ashes of life's adversities? The pursuit and examination of the answers to these questions and other similar ones has been the task undertaken in this series of lectures.
