Hossein Akhani is a biologist, Professor at the University of Tehran, and a researcher of botany and Iran’s environment. He is particularly known for his research on biodiversity and Iran’s vegetation, as well as his criticism of unsound environmental policies. Akhani is an active voice in environmental conservation and in promoting a scientific approach to Iran’s natural challenges.
