Contemporary Moral Philosophy; A Lecture by Abolqasem Fanaei
This lecture introduces and examines contemporary moral philosophy. In this session, Abolqasem Fanaei outlines some of the main questions and approaches of philosophical ethics in the modern era.
About this video
Contemporary moral philosophy is a field that addresses fundamental questions about good and bad, right and wrong, duty, virtue, responsibility, value, and moral judgment. This lecture, featuring Abolqasem Fanaei, was held as part of the specialized philosophy of ethics lecture series at Mofid University, on the occasion of World Philosophy Day.
In this program, moral philosophy is examined not as a set of moral recommendations, but as an analytical and critical discipline. The focus of the discussion may include the relationship of ethics with rationality, religion, conscience, justice, rights, obligation, and the criteria for moral judgment.
The significance of this session lies in the fact that contemporary moral philosophy is one of the principal fields of philosophical dialogue about individual and social life. Understanding this domain helps to clarify the foundations of moral decision-making, the relationship between religion and ethics, and the ethical challenges of the modern world.
This video is suitable for those interested in philosophy, ethics, philosophy of religion, moral theology, and the theoretical issues of applied ethics.
