Introducing and Reviewing the Book Gandhi and Stalin at the Speech and Thought Series

The nineteenth session of the Speech and Thought series, held at the office of the Fars Regional Council of the Union of the People of Islamic Iran Party, was dedicated to introducing and reviewing the book Gandhi and Stalin by Louis Fischer. In this session, Gholamali Keshani, the book's translator, and Qasem Moradi, a member of the Fars Regional Council of the Union of the People Party, spoke about the book. Gholamali Keshani's focus is on the subject of nonviolence and introducing Gandhi's personality, approach, and method of struggle. His body of work also includes translations of books such as "Civil Disobedience" by Henry David Thoreau. Perhaps few remember that the beginning of the discussion on civil disobedience, which emerged during the Reform era, took shape with the publication of an article derived from this very book in the Jame'eh newspaper, translated by Keshani.
