Existential psychotherapy is a branch of psychoanalysis that examines concerns such as death, freedom, isolation, and meaninglessness in the depths of the psyche. Irvin D. Yalom's book, translated by Sepideh Habib and published by Ney, explores these four themes.

"Existential psychotherapy is a dynamic or dynamic-oriented form of psychotherapy. Dynamic is a term frequently used in the field of mental health as 'psychodynamics'" "The psychodynamics of an individual includes the unconscious and conscious forces, motives, and fears that are at work within them"
These two sentences from the book's introduction may not be very helpful to those unfamiliar with psychotherapy, but with a little attention, the general outlines of the discussion can be grasped. With the emergence of Freud in the world of psychology and his presentation of his own therapeutic method, which became famous as psychoanalysis, his students and followers continued his path in various ways. Although his emphasis on sexual drives in the analysis of mental behavior was gradually set aside, his emphasis on exploring the angles of the human psyche and extracting the hidden corners from the depths of the mind was pursued by many psychologists, and various branches emerged. One of the branches of the psychoanalytic school is called existential psychotherapy, which has been seriously discussed by Irvin D. Yalom. Existential psychotherapy tries to find existential concerns such as fear, hope, death, freedom, and the like in the depths of the human psyche, and to analyze and treat them. In the book "Existential Psychotherapy," Dr. Yalom addresses the four concerns of death, freedom, isolation, and meaninglessness, and analyzes them. Dr. Sepideh Habib, who has also translated other works by Yalom, has managed the translation well due to her familiarity with medical terminology. This book has been published in 717 pages by Ney Publishing.
