The Little Prince

The Little Prince is a novel that recounts the story of a stranded pilot's encounter and conversation with the little prince. The little prince is a stranger from a distant asteroid who has fallen to Earth in a desert and asks the pilot about the behavior of humans.

In this story, within a fantastical and surreal atmosphere, the author contrasts the behavior and thoughts of children with those of "grown-ups" to show his audience how far they have strayed from simplicity, poetry, and childlike beauty, and from their true, natural essence. He compares the freshness of the little prince's perspective with the predetermined and repetitive behaviors of adults, constantly questioning many human behaviors. The Little Prince is a children's book written for adults.

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry wrote "The Little Prince" in the midst of World War II and published it in 1943. The first Persian translation of this novel was published in 1954, and since then it has been printed many times in Iran under various names and translations, such as The Little Sovereign and The Little Traveler.
