Life and Thought
Abbas Maroufi (1957–2022) was an Iranian fiction writer, playwright, journalist, and publisher, best known for the celebrated novel *Symphony of the Dead*. He founded and edited the literary magazine *Gardoon* and continued his literary and publishing work in Germany after leaving Iran.
