Life and Thought
Abdolrahman Najl Rahim is a physician, neurologist, and neuroscience researcher. He studied medicine and neurology at Shahid Beheshti University and completed further training in neuropathology, neuroradiology, and neuropsychology at Johns Hopkins University and the Institute of Neurology in London. His work focuses on the brain, cognition, and the relationship between neuroscience and our understanding of the human being.
Abdolrahman Najl Rahim studied medicine at Shahid Beheshti University from Farvardin 1345 to 1352 SH. He then completed his residency in neurology at the same university between 1354 and 1357 SH.
In 1356 SH, he undertook training in neuropathology and neuroradiology, with a focus on brain CT imaging, at Johns Hopkins University in the United States. He later pursued training in neuropsychology at the Institute of Neurology in London in 1363 SH and earned an MSc in neuroscience from the University of London between 1364 and 1365 SH.
From 1368 to 1371 SH, Najl Rahim pursued doctoral studies in neuroscience through the universities of London and Sheffield. His academic career combines clinical medicine, neurology, neuropsychology, and neuroscience. This interdisciplinary path has made him one of the figures working to connect knowledge of the brain with questions concerning cognition, behavior, and the human being.
