Life and Thought
Albert Schweitzer (1875–1965) was a distinguished German-French physician, moral philosopher, theologian, and musician, and the recipient of the 1952 Nobel Peace Prize. He is best known for his ethical philosophy of "Reverence for Life" and his many years of non-profit medical service in Africa.
