The Evolutionary Process of Consciousness in the Brain | A Conversation with Ali Razmkon
How did consciousness form in the brain, and what path has it taken through the process of evolution? In this conversation, Ali Razmkon discusses the evolutionary process of consciousness and its related brain mechanisms from a neuroscience perspective.
About this video
Consciousness is one of the most complex phenomena associated with the brain and one of the most important issues at the intersection of neuroscience, biology, and philosophy. How conscious experience arises in the brain and what process throughout evolution has led to its formation raises fundamental questions about the mind and the nature of humanity.
In this Instagram conversation, Alireza Emtiaz speaks with Ali Razmkon, a neurosurgeon and subspecialist in functional brain surgery, about "The Evolutionary Process of Consciousness in the Brain." The focus of the discussion is examining consciousness from a neuroscience perspective, paying attention to the brain mechanisms and evolutionary processes effective in its formation.
The importance of this topic lies in linking the study of brain structure and function with the larger question of the origin of consciousness. Examining this issue can contribute to a better understanding of the relationship between the brain, mind, and human experience, as well as the scientific and philosophical challenges related to consciousness.
