A collection of philosophical essays on heaven studies recently published (2017) by Oxford University Press. Prominent philosophers such as Robert Audi and Richard Swinburne have also contributed to it. In this collection, various philosophers address anthropological questions (what type of people go to heaven?), ontological questions (what kind of place is heaven?), metaphysical questions (is human freedom preserved in heaven?), epistemological questions (what will the knowledge of the inhabitants of heaven be like?), political philosophy questions (what kind of law does the community of the blessed follow—if it follows any law at all?), axiological questions (is going to heaven even desirable?), and other such heavenological questions. Even in contemporary Christian philosophical discourse, this kind of philosophical heaven studies, at least in a compiled and systematic form, has been very rare. Therefore, this collection is a great boon.
