The 2019 Ramadan Laylat al-Qadr ceremonies at the National Library featured mostly young scholars; the presence of only one cleric, musical supplications, and a dedicated children's room were highlights compared to traditional gatherings.

One of the most interesting gatherings of this year's Laylat al-Qadr nights (Ramadan 2019) was held at the National Library Conference Center. There, we encountered mostly young and scholarly faces at the podium. Seddiq Qotbi, Elaheh Nouri, Mohammad Ali Ayazi, Ali Soltani, Mohammad Reza Jalaeipour, and Amir Hossein Azad spoke, among whom only Hojjat al-Islam Ayazi was dressed in clerical attire; a lecture by a woman and supplication recitation accompanied by the ney flute and singing were the approaches chosen by the organizers. Other strengths of the ceremony included providing adequate parking and a dedicated children's room with a specialist instructor, the absence of which is considered a weakness of many traditional gatherings.
