Nietzsche is perhaps the most influential philosopher in contemporary philosophy. One reason for this is certainly his profound understanding of the intellectual and cultural situation of his age, and more importantly, of the future of human civilization and thought. Before and more than many thinkers, he realized that the desert was growing. He astutely perceived the destructive force of nihilism and cried out. Nietzsche has been subject to various, and at times contradictory, interpretations. Behind many of these interpretations, Nietzsche's thought remains concealed. The material presented by Dr. Mohammad Javad Safian in ten sessions is a concise and introductory overview of some of Nietzsche's most fundamental ideas. The aim has been to explain Nietzsche's thoughts in simple language. This effort will have achieved its purpose if it helps those interested to read Nietzsche's works themselves and benefit from authoritative interpretations.
