A specialised course on the health system in Islam was held in collaboration with the Traditional Medicine Office of the Ministry of Health and faculty from seminaries and universities. The course aimed to clarify the relationship between religion and medicine and the methodology for deriving medical knowledge from religious teachings.

The specialised course "An Introduction to the Health System in Islam" was held over one week, from the morning of Saturday, 29 August to the end of the day on Wednesday, 2 September 2015, at the Heravi Building of the Faculty of Traditional Medicine, in collaboration with the Deputy for Traditional Medicine of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, the Faculty of Traditional Medicine, and the Scientific Association of Traditional Medicine. This specialised course was designed for faculty members, specialists, and residents in the field of traditional medicine, with the aim of familiarising them with precise and practical criteria for explaining the relationship between the religion of Islam and medical topics. With this approach, the organisers of this specialised course sought, in cooperation with distinguished scholars from the seminary and university, to explain the concepts and foundations of the health system in Islam and the methodology for correctly deriving from religious teachings for use in the medical sciences.
