Manouchehr Bozorgmehr was an Iranian philosopher, translator, and one of the influential figures in introducing analytic philosophy and modern Western philosophy to Iran. Through his philosophical translations and educational activities, he contributed to the development of contemporary Persian philosophical language and the familiarity of Iranian scholars with twentieth-century philosophical currents.
Manouchehr Bozorgmehr was born in 1290 in Iran and was an Iranian thinker active in philosophy, logic, and philosophical translation. He pursued studies related to philosophy and the humanities and contributed to introducing important currents of modern Western philosophy in Iran at a time when these traditions were less familiar in the country.
Bozorgmehr is particularly known for translating and promoting works by analytic philosophers and modern Western thinkers. His translations played a role in shaping modern Persian philosophical vocabulary and prose, and became among the resources through which later generations of Iranian students became acquainted with modern philosophy, logic, and epistemology.
