Rashid Kakavand

Life and Thought

Rashid Kakavand is a poet, fiction writer, lyricist, scholar of Persian literature, and a well-known Iranian radio and television host. He holds a doctorate in Persian literature and has taught for years as a faculty member at Islamic Azad University. Kakavand is especially known for his commentary and interpretation of Persian classics such as Ferdowsi's Shahnameh and Hafez's ghazals, as well as for hosting late-night radio programs.
