Life and Thought
Sami Pihlström is a prominent Finnish philosopher and Professor of Philosophy of Religion at the University of Helsinki. He is known for his extensive research on reviving the American pragmatist tradition, particularly the synthesis of pragmatism with Kantian philosophy and the problem of evil. Pihlström has for many years served as director of the Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies (HCAS) and the Nordic Pragmatism Network.
