Some people treat their dogs and cats like humans: they attend to their health and happiness, confide in them, and take them to the park. But if this same relationship were with another human being, how long would that companionship last?
Have you ever asked yourself about those who keep dogs and cats and treat them as one human treats another—that is, they pay a great deal of attention to them, attend to their health and happiness, and, of course, derive from them the functions one human gets from another, confiding in them and going to the park.
