Alefba Magazine, edited by Gholamhossein Sa'edi
Alefba was a cultural and literary periodical founded by Gholamhossein Sa'edi, published during the 1970s and 1980s. Its first series ran for six issues and featured writers such as Houshang Golshiri and Simin Daneshvar.
Alefba was a Persian-language cultural and artistic periodical published through the efforts of Gholamhossein Sa'edi in Tehran and Paris during the 1970s and 1980s.

The First Series of Alefba
The first series of Alefba was published in six issues in Tehran from 1973 to 1977.

دورهٔ دوّم الفبا
دورهٔ دوّم الفبا در هفت شماره از ۱۳۶۱ تا ۱۳۶۵ در پاریس منتشر شد.
ساعدی که سرانجام در اردیبهشت ۱۳۶۱ از ایران خارج شد، تابستان همین سال طی فراخوانی اعلام کرد که دوره جدید الفبا به شکل فصلنامه در پاریس منتشر خواهد شد. دوره جدید الفبا که اولین شمارۀ آن در زمستان ۱۳۶۱ انتشار یافت، پس از انتشار شش شماره زیر نظر ساعدی، در سال ۱۳۶۴ با مرگ وی متوقف شد. هفتمین و آخرین شماره الفبای در تبعید پس از مرگ وی و به یاد وی انتشار یافت.

Alefba, Volume Seven: Unpublished Works of Gholamhossein Sa'edi
The seventh and final volume of Alefba in Exile is dedicated to a collection of unpublished works by Gholamhossein Sa'edi (Gowhar Morad). The contents of this issue are: The Value of a Dead Elephant, An Autobiographical Sketch by the Author in 1983, BBC Radio Interview in August 1983, An Unfinished Lecture…, Oral Man, Written Man, From Sa'edi's Notebook, Mir Mohanna, Bozorg Alavi: Awake and Alive, Saturday Began (a story), On Sohrab Sepehri, The Story of Ismail (the last story/unfinished), The Oral History of Iran, In the Alley of the Frame-Holder (a play). This volume concludes with a letter to the readers, which discusses the difficulties of publishing and distributing Alefba in the absence of Dr. Sa'edi and promises the publication of an eighth volume containing some of his other unpublished works. A promise that was never fulfilled, and the life of Alefba in Exile came to an end with this very issue.
