This article seeks to explain some of the most general features of Heidegger's ontological interpretation of Kant's Critique of Pure Reason. This interpretation stands in complete opposition to all the common epistemological interpretations of this great philosophical work of the modern era in the history of Western thought. An overview of the characteristics and distinctions between these two types of interpretation of Kant aids us in understanding both Kant's philosophy and Heidegger's thought.
