Issue 157 of *Ettela'at-e Hekmat va Ma'refat* is dedicated to a special issue on 'Intercultural Philosophy'—an approach that, by moving beyond absolutism, offers a humble and open insight into the other. The nature, origins, and methodology of this philosophy are examined in this issue.

Intercultural philosophy, although sometimes spoken of as a philosophical discipline or branch, is predominantly defined as an approach, referred to by various terms such as an insight, a regulative program, or an ethical commitment. An insight that, moving beyond absolutism and self-centeredness, is humble, open to the other, and diversity-oriented, and has the capacity to be proposed and developed in various branches of knowledge, including philosophy. In intercultural philosophy, both the nature of philosophy is discussed and culture is not overlooked.
