On the tenth anniversary of DinOnline, a meeting was held at the Andisheh Club with Malekian and Soroush. Malekian posed ten questions that the project of religious intellectualism must answer in order to persuade the twenty-first-century person.

On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the founding of Din Online, a meeting titled “Reflections on Religious New-Thinking and Religious Intellectualism in Contemporary Iran” was held at the Bashgah-e Andisheh (Thought Club). Mostafa Malekian, Hossein Houshmand, and Amir Maziar were present at this meeting. Abdolkarim Soroush was another speaker at the meeting, whose remarks were broadcast online.

I have noted down ten items, and I consider these ten items as ten questions that the project of religious intellectualism, or in other words the project of religious modernism, or even religious new-thinking, must answer in order for this project to be convincing for the human being of the early 21st century and for this project to be able to solve theoretical issues or resolve practical problems. None of these questions are ones on which I can express my own opinion. Although I have previously stated my own answers to almost all of these questions, here, regarding whether this project of religious intellectualism is a successful or unsuccessful project, I am not in a position of judgment..
