If I have time left, from now on I will count no virtue equal to kindness toward human beings.

If I have time left, I will count no cruelty harsher than the humiliation of others.
If I have time left, I will not chase after any belief or faith. I will sit at home so that a faith worthy of me may come seeking me.
If I have time left, I will embrace every tree I see, smell every flower, and see every mountain as a playground, and hold only one doubt in my heart: whether the sunrise is more beautiful, or its sunset.
If I have time left, I will see politicians as being in only one of two states: those who adorn falsehood with truth, and those who taint truth with falsehood.
If I have time left, I will still strive for the freedom and prosperity of my country.
If I have time left, I will entrust the unveiling of the mystery of existence to aged children.
If I have time left, I will flee from every ideology, like a sparrow from the talons of an eagle.
If I have time left, I will get lost in more forests; I will traverse more mountains; I will gaze for more hours at the waves of the sea; I will plant more seeds in the earth and pick up more litter from the ground.
If I have time left, I will worry less about bread and nurture more the sorrow of the soul.
If I have time left, I will no longer believe in any treasure except the gem-laden treasure of effort and toil.
If I have time left, I will not wait for pleasant events to find contentment.
If I have time left, I will worship a God for whom there is no sanctuary but the altar of wonder.
If I have time left, I will cherish my friends and loved ones more.
