Mohammad Ardeshir Behrestaghi, born 1956, is a full professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Sharif University of Technology and a researcher in mathematical logic. His main areas of work are basic logic, intuitionistic logic, constructive mathematics, and the philosophy of mathematics. His book Mathematical Logic is a well-known educational work in this field in Iran.
Mohammad Ardeshir Behrestaghi was born in 1956 and is known as a full professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Sharif University of Technology. He is one of Iran's prominent researchers in the fields of mathematical logic, basic logic, intuitionistic logic, and constructive mathematics.
Ardeshir has spent years teaching and conducting research in mathematical logic at Sharif University of Technology and has played a role in training generations of mathematics and logic students. His research interests, in addition to logic and constructive mathematics, also encompass the philosophy of mathematics, intuitionism, and certain historical topics in logic and mathematics.
Among his important works is the book Mathematical Logic, which is the fruit of many years of teaching this subject at Sharif University of Technology and was selected as the Book of the Year in Iran in 2005. He has also translated the book Brouwer's Philosophy on the philosophical foundations of intuitionism in mathematics into Persian.
