The documentary 'Fardid as Narrated by Farnou' is the first film about Seyyed Ahmad Fardid, featuring rare footage from his televised lectures—an oral philosopher who published no works and to whom only a handful of terms, such as 'Westoxification,' are attributed.
“Fardid as Narrated by Ferno” is the title of the first documentary program made about Dr. Seyyed Ahmad Mahini Yazdi, known as Seyyed Ahmad Fardid. The interesting point of this video documentary is the first-ever broadcast of visual excerpts from Ahmad Fardid’s televised lessons.

Ahmad Fardid published no works during his long life, such that he became famous as the “Oral Philosopher.” Some of his critics believe the reason for this was his frequent intellectual shifts and that he wished to leave no written record with anyone so he could repeatedly negate his own thoughts. Even after participating in conferences, he would not provide a written report of his work. This frequent change of position by Fardid has been reported by many who encountered him.
The only work definitively attributed to Fardid is the Persian equivalents for certain philosophical terms used in the works of Yahya Mahdavi (History of Metaphysics) and Ehsan Naraghi (The Genesis of Social Sciences). Some of these terms, such as Gharbzadegi (Westoxification), are still common among philosophy scholars, while others did not gain currency. The book Didar-e Farrahi va Fotuhat-e Akhar al-Zaman (The Meeting of Divine Glory and the Revelations of the End Times) is a collection of his lectures published after his death. Some of Fardid’s admirers consider this book “flawed and unedited.”

خوب بود از سویه ی ایدئدلوژیکش می کاستید. در ضمن منابع شفاهی فراوانی در باب فردید هست که می تونستید از اونها بهره بگیرید و به یک نفر قناعت نورزید. همچنین خوب بود به سراغ مخالفان فردید هم می رفتید و مخاطبتون رو در یک چالش قرار می دادید. همون طور که فضایی که این متفکرین در اون می زیستند فضایی چالشی بوده است. در مجموع تلاش خوبی بود. خسته نباشید.
