Babak Abbasi

Babak Abbasi is a philosophy researcher, assistant professor, and member of the specialized philosophy group. He began his academic studies in philosophy at the University of Tehran, where he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in philosophy. He then completed his PhD in Western philosophy at the Iranian Institute of Philosophy.

Abbasi's work primarily falls within the philosophy of religion, hermeneutics, the philosophy of language, religious experience, the semantics of mystical concepts, and the relationship between ethics and religion. His works demonstrate an interest in the connection between the analytic traditions of Western philosophy and religious and mystical issues, especially where questions of language, meaning, experience, and the possibility of understanding the religious matter arise.
