Peter Gray is an American psychologist and research professor at Boston College who, through his influential book "Free to Learn," has become one of the best-known advocates of self-directed education and the importance of free play in child development. He is also the author of the widely used textbook "Psychology," the first introductory psychology text to apply an evolutionary perspective across the entire field.
