Val Plumwood was an Australian philosopher and one of the leading figures in environmental philosophy and ecofeminism. By criticizing dualisms such as human/nature and reason/body, she emphasized the connection between domination of nature and structures of social domination, making an important contribution to contemporary environmental ethics.
