The Origin of Life: From Physics to Biology | A Conversation with Erfan Khosravi
How did life emerge from matter and physical processes? In this conversation, Erfan Khosravi examines the question of the origin of life and the transition from inanimate matter to life from the perspectives of biology and physics.
About this video
The origin of life is one of the most fundamental scientific questions: how did systems possessing the characteristics of life emerge from inanimate matter? Answering this question requires bridging fields such as physics, chemistry, and biology, and it remains one of the most important and fascinating problems in the natural sciences.
In this live conversation, Alireza Emtiaz speaks with Erfan Khosravi about "The Origin of Life: From Physics to Biology." The discussion focuses on examining the processes that could play a role in the formation of life and clarifying the relationship between physical laws and biological phenomena.
The importance of this subject is not limited to understanding life's past; studying the origin of life can also deepen our understanding of the nature of life, the necessary conditions for its emergence, and the boundary between living and non-living matter. This conversation offers an interdisciplinary look at one of science's most fundamental questions.
