Hesam Salamat

Hesam Salamat, born in 1982 in Babol, is an Iranian sociologist, translator, lecturer, and independent researcher. He holds a PhD in economic sociology and researches and teaches in the fields of social theory, critical sociology, political economy, political philosophy, and leftist thought.

Salamat studied for his master's degree in sociology at the University of Tehran and later became known as an independent lecturer and translator. Part of his public record is also tied to student, civic, and political activities, but in an academic introduction, the main focus should remain on his theoretical works, translations, and social research.

Salamat's primary focus is on economic sociology, critical theory, Hegelian philosophy, Marxism, council democracy, political economy, the social, and the relationship between politics and everyday life. In his writings and translations, the link between sociology, continental philosophy, and the leftist theoretical tradition is prominent.
