His primary focus is on philosophical ethics, moral pluralism, the problem of altruism, the relationship between ethics and politics, and issues in the ethics of war and peace. A significant part of his work is dedicated to introducing and translating the works of Thomas Nagel, the contemporary analytic philosopher.
