Mohammad Reza Jalaeipour, born in 1982, is an Iranian social researcher, writer, translator, and civic activist. He is the son of Hamid Reza Jalaeipour, an Iranian sociologist. In 2000, he won the gold medal in the Literature Olympiad, and in 2001, he achieved first place in the nationwide university entrance exam for the Humanities. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Tehran and then continued his education at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Subsequently, he has undertaken research and academic fellowships at the University of Oxford, Princeton, and Harvard.
In Iran's public sphere, Jalaeipour is primarily known as a reformist figure and an activist in civic and electoral campaigns, but his scholarly introduction should emphasize his sociological work, translations, and writings on religion, social theory, justice, reform, and civil society. Over the years, he has collaborated with the press and publications such as "Aeen," "Sokhan," "Shargh," and "Etemad," publishing numerous notes and interviews in the fields of political sociology, religion, and social theory.
His political activities can be mentioned briefly: Jalaeipour has played a role in several electoral and civic campaigns, has been arrested a few times, and in recent years has taken on an executive role within the structure of the Fourteenth Government. However, in this introduction, the main focus of his work remains his social research and sociological writings.
