Mohammad Zaimaran is a professor of philosophy and a prominent Iranian researcher and translator in the fields of aesthetics and the philosophy of art. Through authoring and translating numerous works, he has played a significant role in introducing continental philosophy, phenomenology, and semiotics to Iran's academic and artistic community.
Mohammad Zaimaran is a professor of philosophy and a veteran researcher in the fields of aesthetics and the philosophy of art in Iran. He received his advanced degrees in law, international relations, and philosophy from prestigious American universities and taught for many years at various universities, including the University of Art in Tehran.
The main focus of Zaimaran's research has been on continental philosophy, phenomenology, semiotics, and the relationship between philosophical thought and the visual arts and architecture. He is among the thinkers who have paved the way for Persian-speaking audiences to become acquainted with the views and ideas of structuralist and post-structuralist philosophers such as Jacques Derrida, Michel Foucault, and Emmanuel Levinas.
