Life and Thought
Shahab al-Din Yahya ibn Habash Suhrawardi, philosopher and founder of the Illuminationist school of thought, was born in 549 AH and died in 587 AH. He linked philosophical reason with intuition and spiritual experience, leaving behind numerous works in both Arabic and Persian.
